1. Who we are

Talk To Pixels is an AI-powered image editing platform. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it refers to Talk To Pixels and its operator. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at the support page.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information - your name, email address, and profile picture, obtained via Google or GitHub OAuth when you sign in.
  • Images you upload - images are stored temporarily on ImageKit (our CDN and storage provider) solely for the purpose of processing your edit request.
  • Prompts and instructions - the text prompts you submit alongside your images in order to generate edits.
  • Credit and transaction records - records of credits purchased and consumed, stored in our database to maintain your account balance.
  • Payment information - payments are processed by Polar. We never see or store your card details. We receive only a confirmation of payment and the associated order ID from Polar.
  • Usage data - basic logs of requests made to our service, used for debugging and maintaining reliability.

3. How we use your data

We use your data exclusively to:

  • Authenticate you and maintain your account session
  • Process your image edit requests
  • Maintain your credit balance and transaction history
  • Respond to support requests you submit via the contact page
  • Monitor service health and debug errors

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

4. Third-party services we use

To operate Talk To Pixels, your data passes through the following third-party services:

  • Google & GitHub OAuth - used for authentication. When you sign in, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from the provider you choose. We do not receive your password.
  • ImageKit - used as our image CDN and storage layer. Images you upload are stored on ImageKit's infrastructure. Uploaded images are private and accessible only via signed URLs that expire. We delete images from ImageKit after processing is complete.
  • Google Gemini - used to process image edit requests. Your image and prompt are transmitted to Google's Gemini API to generate the edited output. Google's data handling for API usage is governed by their API Terms of Service.
  • OpenAI - used to process image edit requests. Your image and prompt are transmitted to OpenAI's GPT Image API to generate the edited output. OpenAI's data handling for API usage is governed by their API Terms of Service.
  • Polar - used to process payments. All payment data is handled directly by Polar. We receive only an order confirmation and customer ID. Polar's privacy practices are described in their Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase - used as our database provider. Your account information, credit balance, and transaction records are stored on Supabase's infrastructure, hosted on AWS.
  • Resend - used to deliver emails when you submit a contact form. Your name, email, and message are transmitted to Resend solely to deliver your support request to us.

5. Image retention

Images you upload are stored temporarily on ImageKit for the sole purpose of processing your edit request. We do not build or maintain a permanent library of your images. Uploaded images are deleted from our storage after processing is complete. Edited output images remain accessible to you via your studio session but are not stored permanently on our servers beyond your active session.

6. Data we do not collect

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics tools that profile your behaviour across the web. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

7. Data retention

Your account data (name, email, credit balance, transaction history) is retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us via the support page and we will process your request within 30 days.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the support page. We will respond within 30 days.
